Healing is my soul's work

Growing up with two brothers, I spent a lot of time wrestling, and I quickly learned where people's pressure points are. The human body is like a map to me—when I place my hands on someone, I can "see" that map. I feel where tension resides, sense the flow of energy, and even connect to people's chakras. When I ground, attune, and center to a client, the body speaks to me and tells me what to do.

For 15 to 20 years, I worked in a lumberyard, but I always felt like there was something more to life. My path to teaching came by accident: it all started when a substitute teacher needed help using the woodshop tools. The classroom had been shut down for a year and a half, but woodworking had always been second nature to me, and I had a knack for connecting with kids. They offered me the position, and the class really took off. I found myself deeply connected to the students and realized I was exactly where I was meant to be.

I’ve always loved working with my hands. Whether it's woodworking or healing, both allow me to bring something back to life. When I restore old furniture, I understand that people often have deep emotional connections to the pieces I’m working on, and I take pride in making them feel heard. In the same way, I listen to wood as I craft, just as I listen to the people I work with.

The reason I'm on this planet is because I'm a healer. This is my soul's work.
